Arturo Hernandez

LPC

Arturo Hernandez is a Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with close to a decade of experience in the field. His clinical career started in community behavioral health, learning how to treat serious mental illness, addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and provide crisis intervention.

Arturo believes that in order to resolve or lessen the effects of painful mental health symptoms, the client and therapist must discuss and work together in understanding, developing skills for, and facing these issues in a non-judgmental and emotionally safe environment.  He uses a Gestalt therapy approach, emphasizing personal responsibility and focusing upon the individual’s experience in the present moment, the therapist-client relationship, the environmental and social contexts of a person’s life, and the self-regulating adjustments people make as a result of their overall situation.  Arturo also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to encourage the healing process.
