e.e. Cummings said “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” Whether you’re single, in a relationship, a parent or friend we tend to carry around the past, letting it define who we are today–so often when our past dictates who we are in the present it doesn’t work. There may be some parts of us who are still the child but we’ve grown up and with that we have to change. Some find that difficult but it can be done! Let’s differentiate between what’s worth keeping and what needs to change. You’ll find that everything gets better as you become more authentic, less defensive, more grateful, less angry and more content with your life.
