Cathexis provides individual and family counseling in Tucson, Arizona. Our clinicians are highly trained in assisting clients with a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety and depression, PTSD, coping skills, trauma, and grief and loss, to name a few. We are experienced in working with a variety of people of specific cultures, such as LGBTQ and Native American affiliations (we are providers for the American Indian Health Program).
At Cathexis, we value an individualized approach to therapy which encourage clients to take an active role in their treatment goals. Therefore, our Trauma Informed Care approach to therapy means that we consider the “whole person”, including past traumas and coping mechanisms, when determining the proper theories and strategies required for treatment.
This “Whole Person” approach is not limited just to the counseling session itself but also to the physical environment of our offices, and the direct access our clients have to their therapists. Our offices are beautifully maintained and decorated so that our clients understand from the beginning that they are valued and respected. Furthermore, when clients have direct access to their therapists, they understand on an intuitive level that they are not “just another client” at Cathexis.
We further understand that treatment strategies must be designed to the individual needs of the client. Therefore, we have hand-picked a team of talented therapists who bring to the table a wide variety of skill sets, theory, and training in best practices. We make every effort to connect clients with a therapist that is best suited to their needs.
We accept the AHCCCS Banner University Family Plan, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, and MercyCare Medicaid networks, and most Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona PPO, and Aetna PPO plans. We offer an affordable Self Pay option for those not covered by insurance, including greatly reduced rates provided by one of our talented interns for individual and family counseling in Tucson.
